Understanding Statuses

When an order is placed in your online store, it is automatically synced with Borderless360, where it enters the order processing flow.

The Orders page gives you access to your live sales information, including:

  • Reference numbers
  • Receivers
  • Order statuses
  • Tracking statuses
  • Tracking numbers
  • Couriers
  • Shipping documents

New orders enter the system, and depending on their state will be assigned one of the following statuses:

If essential information is missing, the order will enter Draft status. Orders in Draft are incomplete and need additional details before they can proceed. In this status you’ll have options to Fulfill, Cancel, or Copy the order.

Orders can be manually placed On Hold if you need to delay fulfillment for any reason (e.g., awaiting additional customer information). Orders with same-day couriers cannot be put on hold. The Manifest action is available when you’re ready to fulfil On Hold orders.

Orders using same day couriers cannot be put on hold.

If there are issues with the information provided (such as exceeding weight limits or an error from the courier’s API), the order will show an Action Required status. Orders in this state cannot be fulfilled until corrected. You can review and edit the order’s details, and when the required information is updated, the order can proceed to fulfillment.

If all necessary details are complete, the order will enter Ready for Fulfillment status. At this stage, shipping documentation is generated, and the order is prepared for dispatch.

You are still able to cancel an order or put it on hold.

This status indicates that the order is actively being prepared by the 3PL (third-party logistics provider) for shipment.

Once an order reaches this stage, it can no longer be canceled or put on hold.

When the order is shipped, it receives a Shipped status, and tracking information is automatically sent to the customer.

Orders that are canceled are assigned a Cancelled status. No further action is needed, though you can still copy the order details if needed. Same-day courier orders may not be automatically canceled but can be requested via in-app ticketing.

When orders are completed or inactive, Borderless360 may archive them. Archived orders remain accessible on the Archived tab of the Orders page, ensuring you can always review order details, even if they’re no longer active.
