Creating & Updating Bundles

How to create bundles in the B360 app

What are Bundles?

Product bundles are several individual products that are sold as one combined package. This may be useful if you'd like to package complementary products together or create bundles for special events such as Christmas or Mother's Day.

There are types of bundles: virtual, item, and ship-ready.

Virtual Bundles

Virtual bundles unpack into their individual components during fulfillment, so only the separate items appear in the order. This is the simplest option for most use cases.

Item Bundles

Item bundles remain in the order as a single line item even after unpacking. This means the order includes both the bundle itself and its individual components. This is ideal when you sell or ship the bundle as a physical packaged product, especially if the components are sourced from different locations.

Ship-Ready Bundles

Ship-ready bundles behave the same as item bundles. They keep the bundle as a line item in the order alongside its individual components.

The only difference is that ship-ready bundles are used for ship-ready products.

Here's how you can add bundles to the Borderless 360 app

Before you start

  • Make sure the component products already exist in the Borderless360 app before importing.
  • Bundles cannot be nested. A bundle cannot be a component of another bundle.
  • Virtual products cannot be added to a bundle.
  • All rows with the same bundle SKU must share the same bundle type.
  • Virtual bundles are excluded from inventory sync by default. If you use an integration such as Shopify and want virtual bundle stock to sync back to the sales channel, you can enable the Sync inventory for product bundles setting in your Shopify Integration settings.
