How can we help?

Packaging Material Charges

When packaging charges apply — and when they don’t.

We only charge for packaging in specific cases where the setup creates extra complexity for the warehouse team. Here's how it works:

✅ When we don’t charge

If you provide a simple range of packaging (like boxes in multiple sizes) and our team can choose the best fit for each order, there’s no additional charge.

Example:

You supply small, medium, and large boxes. The warehouse picks whichever fits the order — no special instructions needed.

🎁 When we do charge

If your packaging setup includes specific rules — such as using certain packaging types based on destination, courier, or SKU — we apply a charge. These instructions create added complexity for the team and require extra handling.

Examples where charges apply:

  • Satchels must be used for NZ orders, but boxes for AU.
  • Specific SKUs must go in certain box types.
  • Packaging depends on shipping method (e.g. express vs standard).

In these cases, an additional item pick fee as per your rate card will be applied.

📦 Supplying Packaging

You’re welcome to provide your own packaging materials. Alternatively, we can source packaging on your behalf. If we do, a 10% sourcing fee will be added to cover procurement and management.

💬 Not sure if your packaging setup will incur a charge? Reach out during onboarding or send us an email at support@borderless360.com — we're happy to advise.
