What is Products?

The Products page is where you keep a record of all your products so that you can create new orders. Products will have 'Draft' status until you have provided all the required information, at which point the products will gain 'Valid' status.

Let's first look at how to add products manually.

Adding products manually

  1. From the Dashboard, choose Products from the sidebar.

  2. Click Add Product.

  3. Complete all fields in Product Details and Shipping Details and upload a product image.

  4. In Inventory, you can decide on the minimum number of the product that should be in stock before it gets tagged as Low stock by entering the figure in Safety stock.

  5. Click Save to finish.

The new product will then be listed. If it has 'Draft' status, you will need to add missing information until it gains 'Valid' status.

Importing products via Google Sheets

  1. From the Dashboard, choose Products from the sidebar.

  2. Click Import Products.

  3. On the Import Products screen, click Download Template (or click here). You'll be redirected to Google Sheets.

  4. When prompted, click Make a Copy. You'll now see an empty Google Sheet.

  5. Add your product data to the empty Sheet. When you're done, click Share.

  6. In the pop-up, click Advanced.

  7. Under Who has access, click Change, then choose On - Anyone with the link.

  8. Next, under Access, click the dropdown menu, then choose Can Edit, then click Save.

  9. Click Done to close the pop-up.

  10. Next, copy the URL from the browser search bar.

  11. Back in Borderless 360, paste the URL into the Google Drive Link field, then click Validate to import the products.

  12. Once all products are valid, click Approve to finish.

Linking Products to Google Sheets to easily edit product information

  1. From the Dashboard, choose Products from the sidebar.

  2. Select the products(s) you wish to link using the radio buttons.

  3. Click Bulk Update Products. You'll see the Bulk Update Products page.

Next, open Google Sheets and follow these steps:

  1. Create a new Sheet.

  2. To set the correct link sharing permissions for the Sheet click Share.

  3. In the pop-up, click Advanced.

  4. Under Who Has Access, click Change, then choose On - Anyone with the link.

  5. Next, under Access, click the dropdown menu, then choose Can Edit, then click Save.

  6. Click Done to close the pop-up.

  7. Copy the URL from the browser search bar.

Finally, back in Borderless 360:

  1. Paste the URL into the Google Drive Link field, then click Export Products. The product information will now be linked to the Google Sheet.

  2. Once you've edited information in the Sheet, click Update to update the product(s).

Exporting products

You may wish to download a list of your products along with all their information. The process is simple:

  1. From the Dashboard, choose Products from the sidebar.

  2. Select the product(s) using the radio buttons, then click Export Products.

  3. In the pop-up, choose which products to export, ie Selected Products, Current Page, or All Products.

  4. Click Export to download a .csv file to your computer.
